The US Regional Sales Director will serve as the territory executive responsible for all revenue generation in the assigned geographical territory. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for selling the Mirage Networks family of innovative network security products through both direct and indirect sales channels - calling on Fortune 1000 end-users directly, and selling into the Fortune 2000-1000 SMB market along with channel partners. The Regional Director will prospect, qualify and close direct accounts, and will work with the Mirage Channels organization to develop channel partners in the Southwest area. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual whose background demonstrates considerable success in building and maintaining a high performance sales pipeline through both direct sales and indirect channels.
The qualified candidate has 5+ years of successful outside sales or sales engineering experience with an emerging technology company selling technology products, services, and solutions; 2+ most recent years of sales experience at or above quota attainment carrying a $1mm+ quota; a BS or better, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience; and demonstrated abilities in the following areas:
- Solid understanding of internet and networking technologies and network security products and services.
- Significant experience with both direct end-user account management and sales along with demonstrated success in driving business through an indirect channel.
- Consistent over-quota performance in a large volume sales environment.
- Exceptional skills in prospecting and qualifying potential accounts.
- Considerable success in building and maintaining a high performance sales pipeline.
- Ability to create, develop and close solution sales.
- Ability to develop business and revenue in a territory, prospecting both by telephone and in person cold-calling.
- Experience maintaining a high number of active sales opportunities being worked to closure simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work concurrently both in selling directly to large end-user accounts and through channels to mid-market accounts.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating Fortune 1000 class accounts along with VAR’s and resellers in driving business into mid-market accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully from an independent remote office, either a home office or executive suite.
- Technical credibility and a track record of success.
Additional preferred skills/abilities include:
- The ideal candidate will have most recently demonstrated 2+ years of successful field sales for another mainstream network security vendor in the Northwest, generating revenue through both direct and channel sales.
