Mirage Networks is seeking energetic, experienced and talented Sales Engineers who will be responsible for generating revenue by partnering with Regional Sales Directors and channel partners, owning the technical sale of Mirage solutions, driving product demonstrations, presentations, and evaluations. The applicant needs to be self-driven, customer-oriented, and willing take a proactive approach to understanding customer requirements.
The qualified candidate has 5+ years of technical sales experience in the field of network or computer security, a bachelor’s degree - preferably in computer science, engineering or information technology, and demonstrated abilities in the following areas:
- Excellent presentation skills; will demonstrate the products and services, in line with customer/partner requirements to all levels of business or IT management; a consultative style approach to sales; will assist sales team members in developing, qualifying and closing sales opportunities where technical expertise is required.
- Client management skills and customer savvy; will manage the technical relationships among customers and prospective customers during the sales cycle; will be an active leader in the resolution of customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- The ability to serve as the liaison between sales, partner, implementation and management functions to ensure successful execution of sales process.
- Self starter who can work independently within a remote territory.
- Experience installing and supporting multiple network hardware and software products in large corporations.
- Hands-on experience with Ethernet network technologies such as bridges, switches, router and hubs. Firm understanding of layer 2 and 3 of OSI model.
- Experience installing, managing and supporting real-world network and computer security systems in medium to large-scale production environments including experience installing and supporting security products such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- 2+ years experience developing in a Linux environment
- Self starter who can work independently within a remote territory.
- Proficiency in quickly evaluating key attributes of example network infrastructures and ability to articulate how these attributes would interact with the application of specific kinds of security products including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, forensic analysis systems, and anti-virus software.
Additional preferred skills/abilities include:
- Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP or GIAC.
- CCNP or CCIE highly desirable.
