In early 2006, Mirage Networks announced the release of version 3.0 of Mirage Networks Endpoint Control, which added pre- and post-admission policy checks to its threat-termination and quarantining capabilities, making it the only self-contained policy enforcement/threat prevention product of its kind.
Unlike other solutions, the Mirage appliance controls endpoints’ network access not only at the point of network entry, but the entire time the endpoint remains on the network. This method of ensuring that endpoints are compliant with security policy and free of infections prevents threats from spreading within the network interior.
