European, Latin American and Asia Pacific Markets Look to NAC to Enhance Network
Security
AUSTIN, Texas—April 16, 2007—Mirage Networks®, Inc., developer of award-winning
Network Access Control (NAC) technology, announced today that its growth in sales
and channel partners in the EMEA, LA and APAC markets points to international
validation of NAC as a key component of an enterprise security architecture and that
preemptive management of the network interior is now top priority on the security
agenda worldwide.
A recent report published by Forrester Research shows that more than half of
European enterprises are using NAC technologies today. Furthermore, more than
one-third of those enterprises expect to increase their NAC spending by mid-2007.

Mirage’s international sales have reflected this trend, as 40% of sales for Mirage
Networks’ NAC solutions have come from international markets over the past two
years.
Forrester’s report also states that more than half of European enterprises and small
to medium businesses indicate they are likely to invest in NAC software in 2007.

With 35 channel partners outside the US, Mirage estimates its growth in international
sales to exceed 200% in the next 18 months.
“Our international customers are aware that they need a NAC solution to effectively
cope with upcoming threats,” said Marcel van Eemeren, chief executive officer of
ON2IT BV. “Customers are more inclined to invest in an easy to deploy, easy to
manage solution that does not require additional investments in network
infrastructure. Mirage provides such a solution.”
The Mirage Endpoint Control solution monitors all network devices both before and
after users attempt to log onto the network, combining pre-admission authentication
and compliance checks with post-admission behavioral monitoring. The process
delivers a comprehensive, full-cycle NAC solution.
“We have been establishing relationships with key distributors, resellers, and
customers in pivotal international markets since 2003,” said Greg Stock, president
and CEO of Mirage Networks. “These partnerships have helped us build a universally
adopted solution that enforces security policies both before and after endpoints are
granted network access. Now, with four years of experience in international
markets, the NAC market adoption is in full swing. With office locations on multiple
continents, Mirage’s patented Network Access Control solution is becoming the
standard for enterprises worldwide.”
