Austin, TX – January 15, 2008 – Mirage Networks, developer of the only patented Network Access Control (NAC) solution, and Network Vigilance, a leading reseller and service provider of Mirage NAC solutions, today announced that Evans Hotels, a premier provider of resort accommodations in Southern California, has deployed a NAC solution to protect their guest and corporate networks from zero-day security threats and to meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements.
Evans Hotels of Southern California offers Wi-Fi and unrestricted internet access to its guests. This amenity created significant exposure from their guest networks, which in the past experienced problems due to malware and spamming bots running on infected guest laptops. In addition, Evans Hotels was required to comply with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS), as do all organizations that electronically process credit card information. Network Vigilance, utilizing Mirage NAC technology and providing 7x24 security monitoring services offered Evans Hotels a simple way to assure PCI compliance and protect their guest and corporate networks without burdening their IT operations and technical staff.
