Austin, TX – November 5, 2007 – Mirage Networks today announced a new release of Mirage Endpoint Control, its patented Network Access Control (NAC) solution. This release builds on Mirage’s success in offering the easiest NAC solution by making it even easier, both to deploy and to manage. Mirage now makes the solution more transparent for an end user trying to gain network access, which is a key to wide-spread adoption of NAC. For instances where endpoints are out-of-policy for any reason, Mirage has also developed an innovative, user-centric remediation process, greatly reducing helpdesk costs while avoiding barriers for end users. The latest release integrates into any network environment with minimal effort by the IT staff, significantly enhancing Mirage’s time to value over other NAC solutions.
In addition to streamlining the entire NAC process, the new version of Endpoint Control also responds to the growing number of enterprise-scale NAC deployments, allowing up to 100 appliances to be managed from a central location.
“Given the significant endpoint compliance improvements in our latest release, IT security administrators have the ultimate in granular and flexible policy enforcement while end users get the benefits of security without disruptions to daily workflow,” said David Thomas, vice president of products for Mirage Networks. “Offering an end-to-end solution on this scale is just another example of how Mirage is leading the NAC market.”
Mirage Networks helps enterprises defend their networks from zero-day threats and policy violations with patented, full-cycle, agentless network access control technology. The combination of access control, threat prevention, and automated policy enforcement provides an in-depth view of endpoint activity throughout its lifecycle and delivers powerful analysis and network intelligence for network history and usage.
