AUSTIN, Texas—March 15, 2007--Mirage Networks®, Inc., developer of award winning Network Access Control (NAC) technology, announced today that Hamilton College of Clinton, New York has expanded its Mirage Endpoint Control solution across its campus network.
“We needed a way to automate the process of monitoring our network traffic and devices,” said Dave Smallen, vice president of information technology, Hamilton College. “The full-cycle Mirage Networks solution gives us the network visibility to analyze, detect, and stop network problems without disrupting workflow at the College.”
The college has now integrated the full Mirage Endpoint Control solution into their network architecture. The expanded solution adds pre-admission scanning to postadmission behavioral detection and quarantining. In addition, Hamilton College has deployed the Mirage Management Server, which creates a campus-wide security fabric and provides both a single view of the network and centralized policy enforcement.
“Hamilton College’s comprehensive deployment of NAC exemplifies the new paradigm in network security,” said Greg Stock, president and CEO, Mirage Networks. “Organizations are becoming more proactive by managing security throughout the lifecycle of every device accessing the network. The visibility and security provided by Mirage Endpoint Control is invaluable to organizations that, like Hamilton College, have a large population of unmanaged endpoints.”
